Aerotaxi – Colombia Mountains

"Maid of the Mountains" is a very appropriate title for this image. Aerotaxi SA have been providing transport in some of the most hostile conditions in Colombia since the late 1940's. the ever reliable DHC 2 Beaver is the workhorse most suited to this unforgiving environment often flying in bad weather to some of the highest airstrips in the world. Climate and geography are not the only hazards the pilot's have to face; the ever present threat of guerrilla activity in the mountains provides an extra worry.
