Commissioned by Miss Jane Pelling to commemorate her brother Ian's time with 273 Squadron in the far east. His aircraft, a Mk.VIII Spitfire is seen here with other squadron members flying low over a river in Burma. A limited edition print run was made to help highlight the attempts by Jane to have the 273 Squadron Association's badge accepted for inclusion in the floor of the RAF. church St. Clement Danes in London. The badge's design was deemed unsuitable, and questions were raised by Nicholas Soames in the House of Commons.in an effort to secure its acceptance.
