Little Friends

Deprived of height by a damaged engine, a B-17 Flying Fortress of the U.S.A.A.F. struggles to return to its base in England. A lone straggler attracts attention, and two Fw.-190's have spotted a potentially easy target. Fortune has smiled on the bomber though, and two P-51 Mustangs escort fighters have arrived to intercept. The nearest Mustang was flown by Captain Richard E. Turner of the 356th. fighter squadron.
